Dear Perfect Joy,
Your life is a miracle from the day you were born. Your name is special just like you are. Continue to tell yourself that you are smart, kind, beautiful, special, loving, and most of all yourself at all times. You continue to strive to the highest of the highest shatter that glass ceiling that society tries to hide you under. Continue to let your light shine through the actions that you show others. Don't let what others think of you or even what you think yourself bring you down. You have had many struggles in life from birth all the way to now. You've endured the complications of not being fully developed, the doctors telling your Mother that you wouldn't make it passed the first grade reading level, the bullying (from your peers and even yourself), to thoughts of suicide, to your Uncle passing, to Nana passing, to having to go through so many transitions, to starting a new school away from the friends that you knew, and so much more. I am so proud of you for still pushing through the obstacles and challenges that came your way and facing them head on and saying 'I got this! You can't and won't hurt me or bring me down.' You have dreams, goals, aspirations that you want to and will accomplish and the first step of doing so is by taking care of yourself first; whether it is mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, or just all aspects of life in general. You have to live your own life, and you cannot let anyone not even your family or yourself say that you will never achieve those goals, or live those dreams. Love yourself like you love food. You are the best Joi Kamil Butler I have ever known and you will always be that way. You can only be you do not try to waste your time being someone else that is what they are for. I am grateful for the life that you live and the life that you will live in the future. You are the best, I love you so much!
