#45: A Thousand Questions, A Thousand Words (Apeksha T.)

You look scared. And tired. Maybe tired of being scared? Or scared from being tired all the time?

There are a thousand questions in your eyes and a thousand words sitting on your lips. There are a thousand nightmares on your mind and a thousand realities worse than those nightmares. There are a thousand loved ones surrounding you and a thousand reasons why they are as good as strangers. There are a thousand scars on your skin and another thousand hits waiting for you.

It's okay. I know I am sounding crazy right now. But, it's okay. It's okay to feel shattered and miserable. It's okay to hit the rock bottom. It's okay if nobody can listen to you screaming. It's okay if the void is killing you from within. It's okay to realize that you are not the person you thought you were. It's okay. It's all okay.

You know what's not okay? Being shattered and not picking your pieces up and putting them together. To hit the rock bottom and stop trying to come up for fresh air. To lose your voice instead of roaring out loud. To devoid your void of all the warm love you can find from within. To refuse accepting the person you see in the mirror. To give up. To accept the now as forever.

Girl, that fierce heart of yours is stronger than you can imagine. The skin that covers your wild being is not afraid of scars. The timid eyes can engulf the whole sky at a glance. The rage in your blood can rekindle a thousand smothered hopes. Those soft lips can shoot truths sharp enough to kill. You have and are all these things and more.

So, I know that there are a thousand questions in your eyes and a thousand words sitting on your lips. There are a thousand nightmares on your mind and a thousand realities worse than those nightmares. There are a thousand loved ones surrounding you and a thousand reasons why they are as good as strangers. There are a thousand scars on your skin and another thousand hits waiting for you.

But, if there are a thousand reasons to give up, there's also one hope that comes from within. The hope that whispers in your ears, 'Fight back, you warrior!'
